PICK YOUR POISON is a one of a kind reading series devoted to looking at classical plays through a modern lens. A contemporary theme is selected and three classical scripts are chosen, inspired by that theme. A group of fearless and talented actors then join together to read and research these plays.
At PICK YOUR POISON staged readings, performers read the first few pages of each script and then the audience votes on which show they would like to hear in its entirety! With live music and delicious drinks, this FREE reading series seeks to engage younger audiences with classical work.
Our most recent evening at The Pearl was called “Forbidden Love” and Cecily Hamilton’s “Just to Get Married” was chosen, starring yours truly!
